Christmas Markt Application 2024

The Heurich House Museum’s 12th annual Christmas Markt will be held in early December 2024. The museum is looking to expand the Markt to include more days (both weekdays and weekends) - as we finalize details, please select all options you might be interested in.

SCREENING QUESTIONS

If you answer FALSE to any of the following statements you are not qualified to participate as a vendor in Christmas Markt 2023.

* You have an active business license.

* You have participated in an all day in-person pop-up market before. (if you have not, check out our Mini Markt program to gain experience.)

* Your business converts raw materials into finished physical products.

* If your business sells food products, the products are pre-packaged for retail sales.

* You consider DC your business’s primary sales market.

* Your product is designed or produced in the DC metro area (within 40 miles of DC).

* Your average price for your products is under $150.

* The owner of the business will be present at the market at least one day.

* You have a contactless payment method.

HEURICH URBAN MANUFACTURING INCUBATOR

In 2024, the Museum has launched a new model of support and services for small urban manufacturers. We will continue to provide our longstanding programs, but with a refined focus and new programs that serve our community.

Our New Mission: The Heurich Urban Manufacturing Incubator strengthens our local small-scale manufacturing community by providing economic opportunities.

We aim to provide economic opportunities to maker businesses at all stages of their business lifecycles. However, Christmas Markt is best suited for Beginner and Intermediate businesses. New businesses are more suited to our Mini Markt program.

Please note: The Christmas Markt jury panel does not take into consideration your membership in or affiliation with the DC Makers’ Guild when assessing your vendor application. The Museum manages the DC Makers’ Guild through its Urban Manufacturer Incubator program; however, Christmas Markt is unaffiliated with the DC Makers’ Guild. Christmas Markt is the Heurich House Museum’s largest event of the year.
